The SparkWV Competition has been an incredible journey, showcasing an incredible range of creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking from students across West Virginia. From innovative technology solutions to community-driven small businesses, students demonstrated not only strong ideas, but resilience, professionalism, and a true entrepreneurial mindset. The competition began with 135 entrepreneurs from 18 West Virginia counties, working to bring 74 innovative business ideas to life.
Throughout the first and second rounds, participants showcased their business concepts, refining their ideas with the guidance of mentors and feedback from judges. This year’s competition was incredibly close, and after careful evaluation we are thrilled to announce that the top six teams from each track have earned a spot in the final round of the SparkWV competition. Congratulations to the following finalists!
These finalists have demonstrated innovative thinking, problem-solving skills, and the potential to make a real impact in their communities and beyond.
What’s Next?
These teams will move forward to the final live round of the competition, where they will have the opportunity to pitch their business in front of a panel of judges on April 29th 2026, as part of Bridging Innovation Week’s Competition Day.

And to our judges, we appreciate the time, effort, and care you put into reviewing submissions and providing valuable feedback.
Your contributions have made this competition a success, and we encourage all participants to continue pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams. Congratulations again to all our finalists, and best of luck in the final round of the competition!
