Elevating CTE across West Virginia

ELEVATE CTE is a dynamic virtual community of practice that brings together West Virginia educators to reimagine and advance Career and Technical Education (CTE) and career readiness across the state.

Through monthly virtual sessions, hands-on activities, and collaboration with fellow educators, participants explore innovative strategies to integrate future-ready skills and student voice into their curriculum. ELEVATE CTE equips educators with the tools to drive real-world impact in their classrooms, schools, and communities.

Innovative Instructional Strategies - Learn and apply innovative theories, tools, and classroom practices that center empathy, engagement, and real-world skills.
Statewide Collaboration - Connect with like-minded CTE educators across West Virginia to share resources, solve challenges, and co-create impactful learning experiences.
Professional Growth & Recognition - Earn a participation stipend, access exclusive professional development, resources, and collaboration opportunities.
Real-World Projects - Participate in meaningful assignments designed to elevate CTE awareness and showcase student opportunities.

What do our cohort participants think?

This course didn't just check a box, it genuinely challenged me to think about my program differently and gave me the tools to elevate it in ways that will directly benefit my students and community.

I like the fact that this program is geared toward CTE teachers. Often, we feel left out in our schools. CTE teaching does not carry the same weight as English or Math, for example. Nevertheless, our classes are as important. We are preparing our students to become successful workers.

I am not alone.
