Morgantown, WV – The EdVenture Group, Inc. is proud to announce the launch of Bridging Innovation Institute, Inc., an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing ecosystem building and entrepreneurship-led economic development across West Virginia (WV). The new organization is a culmination of years of hard work building a K-12 and beyond entrepreneurship focus in the state.
“We are proud of our Director of Innovation, Amber Ravenscroft, and look forward to supporting her in this endeavor to go beyond K-12 and expand the meaningful work of the Ecosystem.”
Ravenscroft’s time at The EdVenture Group was marked by significant achievement, particularly in the realm of entrepreneurship education and ecosystem growth. For the past several years, she was instrumental in advancing entrepreneurship education initiatives across WV and the region. Notably, The EdVenture Group team supported the development of West Virginia’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Pathway within Career and Technical Education (CTE), a partnership involving Marshall University, West Virginia University, and the West Virginia Department of Education. This initiative laid the groundwork for Ravenscroft’s subsequent leadership as Co-Chair of the West Virginia Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, with The EdVenture Group successfully acting as the initiative’s fiscal agent across its growth stages.
“I am deeply grateful for my time with EdVenture and the opportunities working with this organization has afforded me to learn, grow, and contribute to a mission bigger than myself,” said Ravenscroft. “The founding story of The EdVenture Group has always resonated deeply with me – a teacher who embraced opportunity, stepped out of her comfort zone, and built a bigger classroom for K-12 education support. I’m incredibly thankful to The EdVenture Group for being a catalyst to this work, for providing the foundation for a movement to flourish, and for being fully supportive during the transition as I build Bridging Innovation Institute.”
Bridging Innovation Institute, Inc. will focus on designing and implementing strategies that connect resources, talent, and support to foster robust entrepreneurial environments. The organization aims to be a national leader in translating the principles of ecosystem building into actionable economic development outcomes.
Ravenscroft will transition from The EdVenture Group effective December 31, 2025. Bridging Innovation Institute, Inc. is already positioned to begin work immediately, building on the foundation of previous efforts.
