Morgantown, WV – The EdVenture Group, Inc. is excited to announce its receipt of a $4.4 million grant over the next five years from the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) to further enhance family engagement in education across West Virginia. This grant builds upon the foundation laid by the initial 2018 USDE Statewide Family Engagement Centers (SFEC) grant, which led to the establishment of the West Virginia Family Engagement Center (WVFEC).

"The EdVenture Group, Inc. is excited to continue and expand our work across the state with schools, families, and communities to build connections to enhance the education of our children,."

The Statewide Family Engagement Centers (SFEC) program provides financial support to statewide organizations to carry out parent education and family engagement programs. In addition, the program provides technical assistance and support to state educational agencies (SEAs) and local educational agencies (LEAs) in the implementation and enhancement of systemic and effective family engagement policies, programs, and activities that lead to improvements in student development and academic achievement.

Led by The EdVenture Group, the SFEC will continue to partner closely with the West Virginia Department of Education to work with a broader group of schools, families, and communities across the state of WV.

"The WVDE is thankful that the USDE recognized the great work of the [West Virginia] Family Engagement Center, led by The EdVenture Group, and have provided a second round of funding. Family engagement is a critical component to the success of our schools and individual students."

The EdVenture Group, Inc. remains dedicated to its ongoing mission of fostering meaningful connections between families, schools, students, and communities. Through research-based programs and initiatives, the team empowers families to be active partners in their children’s education, leading to improved student success and well-being.

"We are thrilled to be part of this initiative that will positively impact West Virginia families and schools. Our team is passionate about this work, and we are eager to collaborate with our many valuable partners to continue to enhance family engagement in education throughout the state."
